Why this conversation
Enjoin is a formal, mostly legal verb with two directions. "Enjoin someone to do something" is to command or urge them to do it; "enjoin someone from doing something" is to forbid it by order, which is where "injunction" comes from. The preposition carries the meaning, so read the whole phrase, not the verb alone.
