Why this conversation
Hold me to what I said asks the other person to enforce your own earlier words (hold someone to their word / promise). The memo's original "hold me to the record" blends "hold me to my word" with "the record shows", and no native speaker says it. "The condition is met" is the standard passive for a criterion being satisfied. The casual equivalent is "call me on it": point out the contradiction to my face.
