Why this conversation
Barrage comes from artillery: continuous, overwhelming fire. Figuratively, a barrage of questions, complaints, or emails is many arriving at once, faster than you can answer. It says nothing about intent — the askers may be hostile or merely eager — but it always implies volume and pressure. The pattern is "a barrage of" plus a plural noun. The dam sense (댐, 보) is a separate engineering word you will not need in conversation.

왜 이 대화인가

협업 기법 세 가지
단어의 원래 이미지를 인정하면서 감정 판단은 분리한다. "That's exactly the image. … Nobody was hostile" — barrage가 양을 말하지 적의를 말하는 게 아님을 한 줄로 정리한다.
압박 상황을 말할 때는 대처법을 동사 셋으로 끝낸다. "wrote them …, grouped them …, and answered the themes" — 힘들었다는 말 대신 행동 순서를 말하면 유능하게 들린다.
