Why this conversation
A quadrillion is 10^15 in the short scale used in English today: thousand, million, billion, trillion, quadrillion. In Korean that is 1000조, and the next Korean unit, 경, is 10^16, so the two systems do not line up unit for unit. The safe habit at work is to say the power of ten as well: "a quadrillion, ten to the fifteenth". Note that older British usage put quadrillion at 10^24, which is why old documents can mislead.
