Why this conversation
To opine is to state an opinion, but in a raised, formal register — it belongs to journalism, legal writing and minutes, as in "the judge opined that the contract was void". Because it is so formal, writers often use it with a light sneer: "he opined at length" hints that the speaker was pompous and had no evidence. In ordinary speech say "he said" or "he argued"; keep "opine" for writing, or for a joke about somebody being grand.

왜 이 대화인가
