Why this conversation
A docket is a list attached to something so you can check it: on a parcel, the slip naming what is inside; in a court, the list of cases waiting to be heard; in a meeting, the items to be dealt with ("on the docket" is common American usage). The trap is hearing only the courtroom sense and missing the plain delivery note.
