Why this conversation
A harangue is a long, loud, aggressive speech aimed at somebody, and as a verb it is to deliver one. It is longer and angrier than a lecture and always unwelcome, so it never describes a talk you enjoyed. Keep it on the behaviour: he harangued the room, not "he is a harangue".
