There is no market price for JYVE

A small exchange offers to list JYVE and asks for "the current price" to seed the order book. JYVE has no external market; the constant-product pool is its only price.

Why this conversation

Explaining a self-made token honestly to a counterparty who assumes every token has a price, without sounding like you have nothing.

Tom: Send us the current JYVE price and a 30-day chart and we can list next week.

Jay: I can send you a number, but I'd be misrepresenting it. JYVE has no external market. Its only price is the ratio in our JYVE/jUSD pool, and jUSD is a test dollar.

Tom: So it's a testnet token?

Jay: Today, yes. It's the unit of account inside Jayverse: personas are priced in it, the exchange pool quotes it. Listing it now would put a price on something that hasn't earned one.

Tom: Then why are we talking?

Jay: Because I'd like you to be the first venue when it does. What I can offer now is read access to the pool, the bridge contracts, and a heads-up before anything goes to mainnet.

Tom: That's a slower deal than I came for.

Jay: It is, and it's the one I can stand behind. A listing we'd have to explain away later is worse for you than for me.

JYVE에는 시장 가격이 없다

소형 거래소가 JYVE 상장을 제안하며 오더북 시드용 "현재 가격"을 묻는다. JYVE에는 외부 시장이 없고, 상수곱 풀이 유일한 가격이다.

왜 이 대화인가

모든 토큰에 가격이 있다고 가정하는 상대에게 자체 토큰을 정직하게 설명하기. 아무것도 없는 것처럼 들리지 않게.

Tom: 현재 JYVE 가격과 30일 차트를 보내주시면 다음 주에 상장할 수 있습니다.
